Our policy was developed as we want you to feel confident about the privacy and security of your own personal data that you may enter and store with My Big Move through our website. We adhere to strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of your personal information which abides by law. The My Big Move security protocol means that we may ask for proof of your identity i.e verification of an email, which could be via our website, via email, or via the telephone.

  • Your Rights to Your Data

We adhere to and are registered under the laws for data protection in the United Kingdom and we take all reasonable care in order to prevent any unwarranted access to your personal information. Covered by the new laws of GDPR set in May 2018, you have several rights.   • Personal Data

We may, where it is necessary to provide you with our platform, collect data from you which could be considered as sensitive personal data under the new GDPR laws valid from May 25th 2018, and pass that data to our members so that they can provide a quotation to you. By filling in our request form for a quotation and ticking our consent box, you hereby acknowledge that you have read the Terms and Conditions, including the Privacy Policy provided by mybigmove.co.uk and therefore you are willing for us to do this. Should you be unhappy, you may contact us at any time and have your personal data removed from our system.


2.) The Use of Your Data to Obtain a Comparison

In order for us to be able to provide our services to you we need to collect and process personal information about yourself, then disclose said personal data to a maximum of 4 third party service providers. This personal data is mandatory in order for us to provide you with the comparative quotations and services that you have requested. All personal data will be held in the utmost confidence and only used as the purpose for providing the service you have requested.

When you register for quotes for a service, we may invite you to opt-in to receive emails helping you get quotes for other services from My Big Move. We process this data in accordance with GDPR. Your personal details will only be used to send you notifications you have requested and for no other purpose. Your details are not shared with third-parties who may provide the service to My Big Move at this stage. If you respond to the emails we send inviting you to get quotes for other services we will explicitly inform you when other firms will be passed your details. You may opt-out of receiving these emails at any time.


3.) How Else Do We Use Your Personal Data?
  • Research

We, our nominated sub-contractors, or other companies approved by or within My Big Move Limited may use your personal data so we can implement our market research and statistical analysis. The market research and statistical analysis may aid us in developing our site and the services offered to you or other individuals in the future.

  • Sales Information

We may use a small amount of your personal data with intent of validating data provided by our members/providers.


4.) What Communications Will You Receive From Us?
  • Service Emails

After completing a request form on our website, you hereby agree that you are willing to be sent an initial email from us. In this email, it will confirm you have obtained a comparison on our website and that your quote has been stored.

  • Marketing

We may use your information to keep you informed by telephone, email or other means such as via social and digital media about current products, services, offers or promotions which could be of possible interest to you. We, or a thoughtfully chosen third party might also use the personal information you supply in order to perform market research and may contact you to ask for your feedback.

We retain full ownership and rights of your personal information and ensure you that it is kept secure at all times.

Again, this will only be valid for any user who has filled in a request form and therefore consented us to use their private data.

5.) Where Do We Store Your Data?

7.) Your Rights
